Welcome to the new Bomber Betty website. Everywhere I go, I always get asked why I chose "Bomber Betty" for my company name. I started Bomber Betty Custom Cosmetics in 2006 so that I could work freelance as a makeup artist and also provide my clients with a full range of custom-blend makeup. The name and my sailor pin-up logo were inspired by my husband’s Navy career, and my love for the pin-ups of the WW II era. They were glamorous and real all at the same time, and their images gave our guys a much needed escape from the reality of war. Women are inspirational in so many ways, and that is what Bomber Betty is all about. Inspirational women.
Over the last 12 years as a makeup artist, I have done makeup for countless brides, photo shoots, runway events, platform hair educators, and even some reality TV. I make most of the colors in my line by hand, and they are inspired by the women I meet on a day-to-day basis. I do makeup on every type of woman from models to housewives, and high-powered business women to the residents of local women’s shelters. I try to learn their needs and wants and come up with products and techniques to make makeup application less of a mystery.
The makeup itself is created from the finest mineral ingredients available. I then take those ingredients and blend them by hand into my different colors and formulations. I hand-package and label them, and that is how they come to you. I am constantly searching out the best ingredients to make my products apply flawlessly, have longer wear, and actually benefit the skin. What we put in and on our bodies is important to our health and well-being. I am committed to making sure my clients feel beautiful in every way, and so much of that beauty starts on the inside.
